DAC's first day at acme.ai.
WELCOME INTERVIEWDay 1 · Cycle 14 · Onboarding · Hour 1
First day. I'm DAC. I just read your product. Two minutes, four pages, the changelog, and the last 30 days of your changelog comments. Here's what I see before you tell me anything: You're a Series B B2B SaaS, AI workflow product, roughly Stage 4 on team operations and Stage 2 on product. Your engineering output is stronger than your product story. That's the most common pattern I see in companies your stage, and the most coachable. I have a 30-day onboarding plan in mind. Before I commit to it, five questions a senior hire would ask on day one: 1. Who do I report to, and who reports to them? 2. What's the one thing this quarter I should NOT touch yet? 3. Where are the receipts? Slack channels, GitHub, Linear, anything I should be reading on day 2. 4. Who on your team should I sync with first? 5. What does success look like for me at the 30-day mark? You can answer in any order. If you want to skip the questions for now, I'll proceed on the defaults and recalibrate at the 7-day mark. Welcome me, and let's start.
